Well over 90 in East county San Diego today. No problem keeping eggs warm! If egg #1 is going to hatch it should be pretty soon. I wonder what happens to unhatched eggs?
Hi Bob, sometimes they "pick them up" and toss or kick them out, sometimes they end up getting covered up by the debris on the floor, sometimes they just end up as "furniture" for the other owlets.
Bob, is the owl box in shade, facing shade, does it have enough "holes" drilled in it for cross ventilation? If it is painted (which isn't necessary) is it a light color to reflect the light? Another thing to consider, the box Roy&Dale are in Chula Vista, has a mister that can be turned on. http://www.owlchannel.com/hideout.html
